Deedat’s Quotation of Michael Hart in Crucifixion or Cruci-fiction

Muslims who appeal to Michael Hart or to Deedat’s Crucifixion or Cruci-fiction should be asked whether Michael Hart is really a reliable source and what their logic is for quoting him.

Arab Stereotypes

Documentary that “dissects a slanderous aspect of cinematic history that has run virtually unchallenged from the earliest days of silent film to today’s biggest Hollywood blockbusters. Featuring acclaimed author Dr. Jack Shaheen, the film explores a long line of degrading images of Arabs–from Bedouin bandits and submissive maidens to sinister sheikhs and gun-wielding “terrorists”–along the way offering devastating insights into the origin of these stereotypic images, their development at key points in US history, and why they matter so much today.”

Muhammad’s Proposed Cursing – Mubahala

Toward the end of Muhammad’s life, Christians and Muslims did not see eye to eye with one another about Jesus. Some Christians came to discuss these differences with Muhammad in what is remembered as the event of Mubahala. Mubahala evidences that Muhammad was not a prophet of God, and that the Quranic teaching about Jesus is wrong.

Critique of Islam

William Lane Craig is a great Christian debater and I benefitted from the following interview. My problem? William Lane Craig wrongly asserts that the Quran says Abraham offered up Isaac. The Quran does not explicitly say who Abraham offered (Quran 37:100-108), and early Quranic interpreters were divided as to whether it was Isaac and Ishmael.

99 Names of Allah

The 99 Names of Allah are important to Muslim piety because the Quran says, “And (all) the Most Beautiful Names belong to Allah, so call on Him by them…” The importance of the 99 Names of Allah provides many opportunities for Christians to talk with Muslims about Allah’s Name and the Name that is above every other name (Philippians 2:9-11).

Quran and Quran Tafsir (تفسير) Lecture 18

In this episode Ali Gomaa discusses irrational thinking and mocking. Ali Gomaa says Islam is a rational religion and “there is no contradiction or dispute or difference between results of experimental science and true faithful Qur’anic facts, nor in divine truth related to humans in the origin of the Islamic creed. So, there were no dispute or argument, or battle between science and religion.”

Quran and Quran Tafsir (تفسير) Lecture 17

In this episode, Sheikh Ali Gomaa discusses the importance of facts and evidence in Islam. Ali Gomaa teaches, “Allah has repeatedly implicitly and explicitly ordered us to follow, evidence, argument, proof and certainty”. This is one reason Muslims should believe in Jesus and be baptized. The evidence, argument, proof, and certainty for Jesus’ death on the cross, resurrection from the dead, and ascension into heaven is on the side of Christianity and not Islam.
